Legal

The short version: who runs the wiki, who owns what, and what an account keeps about you. It says what the wiki does; it isn’t legal advice.

Not affiliated with MADFINGER Games

GZW Wiki is an unofficial wiki made by players. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to MADFINGER Games. Gray Zone Warfare, its logo and everything from the game are trademarks and property of MADFINGER Games.

License of the text

The wiki’s text is under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license. You can copy, share and adapt it, commercial use included, as long as you credit GZW Wiki with a link and share your version under the same license.

The values, sources and text players propose are published under the same license once approved. Sending a proposal means you agree to that. Pictures are the exception, see below.

Part of the first data came from another community wiki, also under CC BY-SA. It is credited on the About page.

Pictures

Item pictures show the game’s own imagery, which belongs to MADFINGER Games: the license above doesn’t cover them. Nor does it cover the pictures players propose: they are framed from screenshots taken in their own game, so they show the same imagery.

Privacy

You can read the whole wiki without an account. You only need one, through Discord, to propose changes or write comments.

What an account keeps

  • From Discord, when you sign up: your display name, your avatar, your Discord account ID, and your email address if Discord has verified it. The wiki never sees your Discord password.
  • Your role (contributor or moderator), whether you chose to keep your name off the credits, and whether a moderator suspended the account.
  • What you send: your proposals (values, source, game version, picture), your comments and reports, and what moderation decided about them. Approved changes are public and credited to your display name, unless you hid it.
  • The AI assistants you connected to your account through MCP, with the access you gave them.

Cookies and visits

No advertising or tracking cookies. When you are signed in, a cookie and your browser’s storage keep your session; your browser also remembers which sidebar groups you opened.

Visits are counted with OneDollarStats, which sets no cookie. To count them, the wiki’s server passes it the page, your browser’s description, your IP address and your rough location (country, region, city). The wiki itself only keeps a daily count of views per page, with nothing about who viewed it.

To stop abuse, the server counts requests per IP address and per account in its memory, for an hour at most, and never writes them down.

The site assistant and the AI moderator send text to an outside AI provider. What is sent, and whether it is used for training, is in the privacy section of the About page.

Deleting your account

There is no delete button yet. Write to [email protected] with your display name on the wiki, and the account will be deleted. Approved changes and your comments stay on the wiki, signed “deleted account”.

Contact and takedown

For a question, a mistake on this page or a takedown request, write to [email protected]. Say which page it is about and what is wrong: you will get an answer.
